Prep & Care

After inspecting your new item(s) be sure to wash once and dry. I use washable markers while making the items, these marks typically wash away with one wash, but some may be more stubborn needing an additional prep wash. You can expect full absorbency with use over time.

How to Wash Cloth Diapers

Step 1- Dump solids, rinse if needed. Store in DRY pail until wash day.

Step 2- Pre Wash: your choice of wash cycle to prepare the diapers for deep cleaning. Use of detergent will depend on water hardness and soil.

Step 3- Main Wash: Heavy Duty wash cycle with detergent. Be sure to have a “stew” consistency for your water to diaper ratio. *Add other small items to bulk up the load if needed (ex. Baby clothes, wash cloths. You will need this for proper agitation).

*Do NOT use fabric softener.

*Do not bleach regularly.

Step 4- Dry: In the dryer or line dry.

Other LBB Items

Step 2- Wash twice with regular laundry or wash with cloth diapers.
